Description
PPBP Polyclonal Antibody (CAB24514)
The PPBP Polyclonal Antibody (CAB24514) is a valuable tool for researchers studying PPBP, a protein involved in inflammation and immune responses. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the PPBP protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in immunology and cancer research.PPBP, also known as Platelet Basic Protein, plays a crucial role in mediating the inflammatory response and is associated with various diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory conditions.
Understanding the function and regulation of PPBP is essential for developing targeted therapies aimed at modulating inflammation and immune responses in these disease contexts. The PPBP Polyclonal Antibody offers researchers a reliable tool for investigating the role of PPBP in health and disease.

The protein encoded by this gene is a platelet-derived growth factor that belongs to the CXC chemokine family. This growth factor is a potent chemoattractant and activator of neutrophils. It has been shown to stimulate various cellular processes including DNA synthesis, mitosis, glycolysis, intracellular cAMP accumulation, prostaglandin E2 secretion, and synthesis of hyaluronic acid and sulfated glycosaminoglycan. It also stimulates the formation and secretion of plasminogen activator by synovial cells. The protein also is an antimicrobial protein with bactericidal and antifungal activity.
