The Porcine ACTH (Adrenocorticotropic Hormone) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the precise quantification of ACTH levels in porcine biological samples. ACTH is a pivotal hormone produced by the pituitary gland that plays a pivotal role in regulating the adrenal cortex's secretion of glucocorticoids, impacting stress response, metabolism, and immune function in pigs. This ELISA kit empowers researchers to accurately measure ACTH concentrations in porcine samples, providing valuable insights into the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis activity, stress responses, and adrenal functions in pigs. By quantifying ACTH levels, researchers can elucidate the stress modulation pathways, investigate endocrine disorders, and assess the impact of various stressors on porcine health and well-being.
With exceptional sensitivity and specificity, the Porcine ACTH ELISA Kit ensures reliable and reproducible results, enabling researchers to delve into the intricate mechanisms of hormone regulation and stress physiology in pigs. Manufactured under stringent quality control standards, this kit offers robust performance and user-friendly protocols, making it an excellent tool for studying porcine endocrinology and stress-related responses in research settings.
This ELISA kit uses the Competitive-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with ACTH. During the reaction, ACTH in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of ACTH on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to ACTH. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed away, and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added to each micro plate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns from blue to yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of ACTH in tested samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
