The Phospho-Estrogen Receptor (S167) Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0348) is a critical tool for researchers studying the phosphorylation of the estrogen receptor at serine 167, a key post-translational modification linked to the activation of estrogen signaling pathways. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it suitable for use in Western blotting and immunohistochemistry applications. With a focus on the phosphorylated form of the estrogen receptor, this antibody enables the detection and quantification of estrogen receptor activation in various cell types and tissues.
Its role in regulating gene expression and cell proliferation underscores its importance in studies related to hormone-responsive cancers, such as breast and ovarian cancer.By targeting the phosphorylated S167 site on the estrogen receptor, researchers can gain insight into the intricate mechanisms governing estrogen receptor signaling and its impact on cellular behavior. This antibody holds promise for advancing research in the fields of endocrinology, oncology, and reproductive biology, ultimately paving the way for the development of targeted therapies for hormone-dependent diseases.

This gene encodes an estrogen receptor and ligand-activated transcription factor. The canonical protein contains an N-terminal ligand-independent transactivation domain, a central DNA binding domain, a hinge domain, and a C-terminal ligand-dependent transactivation domain. The protein localizes to the nucleus where it may form either a homodimer or a heterodimer with estrogen receptor 2. The protein encoded by this gene regulates the transcription of many estrogen-inducible genes that play a role in growth, metabolism, sexual development, gestation, and other reproductive functions and is expressed in many non-reproductive tissues. The receptor encoded by this gene plays a key role in breast cancer, endometrial cancer, and osteoporosis. This gene is reported to have dozens of transcript variants due to the use of alternate promoters and alternative splicing, however, the full-length nature of many of these variants remain uncertain.
