The Phospho-Chk1 (S296) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CABP1047) is a valuable tool for researchers studying cell cycle regulation and DNA damage response pathways. This highly specific antibody is raised in rabbits and is specifically reactive with phosphorylated Chk1 at serine 296 in human samples. Chk1 is a key regulator of cell cycle checkpoints in response to DNA damage, playing a critical role in maintaining genomic stability and preventing the proliferation of damaged cells. Phosphorylation of Chk1 at serine 296 is an important post-translational modification that modulates its activity in response to DNA damage, making this antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying this regulatory mechanism.Validated for use in Western blot applications, the Phospho-Chk1 (S296) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody enables detection and analysis of phosphorylated Chk1 in various cell types, providing valuable insights into the signaling pathways involved in DNA damage response.
Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for studies in cancer research, where dysregulation of cell cycle checkpoints and DNA damage response pathways play a crucial role in tumorigenesis.Overall, the Phospho-Chk1 (S296) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CABP1047) offers researchers a powerful tool for investigating the role of Chk1 phosphorylation in cell cycle regulation, DNA damage response, and cancer biology. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. It is required for checkpoint mediated cell cycle arrest in response to DNA damage or the presence of unreplicated DNA. This protein acts to integrate signals from ATM and ATR, two cell cycle proteins involved in DNA damage responses, that also associate with chromatin in meiotic prophase I. Phosphorylation of CDC25A protein phosphatase by this protein is required for cells to delay cell cycle progression in response to double-strand DNA breaks. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
