The Phospho-CHK1 (S345) Monoclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of CHK1 in cellular response to DNA damage. CHK1 is a key regulator of the cell cycle and is activated in response to DNA damage, serving to halt cell cycle progression and allow for DNA repair. Phosphorylation of CHK1 at serine 345 is a critical event in its activation and function. This monoclonal antibody, developed and validated for use in various applications including Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation, specifically recognizes CHK1 when phosphorylated at serine 345.
This enables researchers to investigate the activation and function of CHK1 in response to DNA damage and its implications in cancer, genetic disorders, and other diseases.By facilitating the detection and analysis of phosphorylated CHK1, this antibody provides crucial insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying DNA damage response and cell cycle regulation, offering potential targets for therapeutic intervention and drug development. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an essential tool for researchers in the fields of molecular biology, genetics, and cancer research.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. It is required for checkpoint mediated cell cycle arrest in response to DNA damage or the presence of unreplicated DNA. This protein acts to integrate signals from ATM and ATR, two cell cycle proteins involved in DNA damage responses, that also associate with chromatin in meiotic prophase I. Phosphorylation of CDC25A protein phosphatase by this protein is required for cells to delay cell cycle progression in response to double-strand DNA breaks. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
