The PE (phycoerythrin) GenieFluor 594 Anti-Mouse/Human CD11b Antibody (M1/70) is a highly specific and reliable tool for researchers studying CD11b, a cell surface protein involved in immune response and inflammatory processes. This antibody, validated for use in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications, is raised in rats and exhibits strong reactivity with both mouse and human samples.CD11b, also known as integrin alpha-M, is a crucial component of the immune system, playing a key role in cell adhesion, migration, and phagocytosis. Its expression is primarily found on monocytes, macrophages, and granulocytes, making it a valuable marker for identifying and studying these immune cell populations. The PE GenieFluor 594 Anti-CD11b Antibody offers researchers a highly sensitive and specific tool for analyzing CD11b expression in various cell types and tissues, facilitating detailed investigations into immune responses, inflammation, and disease pathology.
By targeting CD11b with this antibody, researchers can gain insights into the function of myeloid cells in various physiological and pathological conditions, including infectious diseases, autoimmune disorders, and cancer. The ability to accurately detect and quantify CD11b expression using this antibody opens up opportunities for exploring the role of myeloid cells in the immune system and developing targeted therapies for conditions where dysregulated immune responses are implicated.

Background:
CD11b is a 170 kD glycoprotein also known as αM integrin, Mac-1 α subunit, Mol, CR3, and Ly-40. CD11b is a member of the integrin family, primarily expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and subsets of T and B cells. CD11b non-covalently associates with CD18 (β2 integrin) to form Mac-1. Mac-1 plays an important role in cell-cell interaction by binding its ligands ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4 (CD242), iC3b, and fibrinogen.
