The P2RY11 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying P2RY11, a purinergic receptor known for its role in immune regulation and inflammation. This antibody is produced in rabbits and is highly specific for detecting P2RY11 in human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the P2RY11 protein, researchers can gain insight into its function in various cell types, particularly in immunology and cancer research.
P2RY11 is a key player in the immune response, influencing the activation of immune cells and the production of inflammatory mediators. Its involvement in immune regulation highlights its potential as a therapeutic target for diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and chronic inflammatory conditions. Understanding the mechanisms by which P2RY11 functions is essential for developing novel treatment strategies that modulate immune responses effectively.

The product of this gene belongs to the family of G-protein coupled receptors. This family has several receptor subtypes with different pharmacological selectivity, which overlaps in some cases, for various adenosine and uridine nucleotides. This receptor is coupled to the stimulation of the phosphoinositide and adenylyl cyclase pathways and behaves as a selective purinoceptor. Naturally occuring read-through transcripts, resulting from intergenic splicing between this gene and an immediately upstream gene (PPAN, encoding peter pan homolog), have been found. The PPAN-P2RY11 read-through mRNA is ubiquitously expressed and encodes a fusion protein that shares identity with each individual gene product.
