The Mouse CD18 Monoclonal Antibody (M12/2) is a key tool for researchers studying immune response and cell adhesion processes in mice. This monoclonal antibody specifically targets CD18, a cell surface molecule essential for leukocyte adhesion and migration in immune responses. By binding to CD18, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis of CD18 expression in various cell types.CD18, also known as integrin beta-2, plays a crucial role in mediating cell-cell interactions and is crucial for immune cell function. Dysregulation of CD18 expression or function has been linked to various inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, making it an important target for research in immunology and inflammatory conditions.
This Mouse CD18 Monoclonal Antibody is suitable for use in various research applications, including flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and Western blotting. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it a valuable tool for understanding the role of CD18 in immune responses and inflammatory processes in mouse models. Researchers in immunology, inflammation, and cancer biology will benefit from using this antibody to uncover new insights into CD18 function and its potential as a therapeutic target.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 2.0 µg per 106 cells in 100 µL volume or 100 µL of whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Background:
CD18 is a 95 kD protein, also known as integrin β2 subunit. It is expressed on all leukocytes. CD18, in association with integrin α chain CD11a, CD11b, and CD11c forms LFA-1, Mac-1, and αXβ2, respectively, and plays an important role in leukocytes adhesion. The CD18 integrin complexes bind ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-3 (CD50), iC3b, and fibrinogen.
