The MCM3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1060) is a valuable tool for researchers studying MCM3, a key protein involved in DNA replication and cell cycle regulation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is specifically validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the MCM3 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an essential asset for studies in molecular biology and cancer research.MCM3 is essential for DNA replication and is a marker of cellular proliferation, making it a crucial player in maintaining genomic stability and preventing abnormalities in cell division.
Dysregulation of MCM3 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions aimed at inhibiting tumor growth and progression. By providing insight into the functions and expression levels of MCM3, this antibody aids in advancing our understanding of cellular processes and the development of novel treatment strategies for cancer and other related disorders.

The protein encoded by this gene is one of the highly conserved mini-chromosome maintenance proteins (MCM) that are involved in the initiation of eukaryotic genome replication. The hexameric protein complex formed by MCM proteins is a key component of the pre-replication complex (pre_RC) and may be involved in the formation of replication forks and in the recruitment of other DNA replication related proteins. This protein is a subunit of the protein complex that consists of MCM2-7. It has been shown to interact directly with MCM5/CDC46. This protein also interacts with and is acetylated by MCM3AP, a chromatin-associated acetyltransferase. The acetylation of this protein inhibits the initiation of DNA replication and cell cycle progression. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
