The Kynurenine (Kynu) Monoclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the kynurenine pathway, a key metabolic pathway involved in immune regulation and neuroinflammation. This antibody, derived from mouse hybridoma cells, is highly specific to kynurenine and has been validated for use in various applications, including immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry.Kynurenine is a metabolite produced during the breakdown of tryptophan and has been implicated in a variety of biological processes, including immune tolerance and the regulation of inflammation. By targeting kynurenine, researchers can gain insight into the role of this metabolite in diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and autoimmune diseases.
The Kynurenine Monoclonal Antibody enables precise detection and analysis of kynurenine levels in tissues and cells, providing researchers with a powerful tool for investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying immune regulation and inflammation. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an essential reagent for studies aimed at understanding the role of the kynurenine pathway in health and disease.

Kynureninase is a pyridoxal-5'-phosphate (pyridoxal-P) dependent enzyme that catalyzes the cleavage of L-kynurenine and L-3-hydroxykynurenine into anthranilic and 3-hydroxyanthranilic acids, respectively. Kynureninase is involved in the biosynthesis of NAD cofactors from tryptophan through the kynurenine pathway. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
