Human IgG1/Immunoglobulin heavy constant gamma 1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB24654)
The Human IgG1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the IgG1 class of antibodies in human samples. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human IgG1, making it ideal for a variety of research applications, including ELISA and immunohistochemistry.IgG1 antibodies play a crucial role in the immune response, particularly in the context of infection and inflammation. By targeting the IgG1 subclass, researchers can gain insights into the specific immune responses associated with various diseases and conditions.
This antibody enables accurate detection and quantification of IgG1 in biological samples, providing valuable information for immunology and clinical research. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the Human IgG1 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable tool for studying the role of IgG1 antibodies in human health and disease. Whether investigating immune responses, antibody-mediated diseases, or therapeutic antibody development, this antibody offers a precise and effective solution for researchers in the field.

IgG is a monomeric immunoglobulin, built of two heavy chains gamma and two light chains. Each molecule has two antigen binding sites. This is the most abundant immunoglobulin and is approximately equally distributed in blood and in tissue liquids, constituting 75% of serum immunoglobulins in humans. This is the only isotype that can pass through the human placenta, thereby providing protection to the fetus in its first weeks of life before its own immune system has developed. It can bind to many kinds of pathogens, for example viruses, bacteria, and fungi, and protects the body against them by complement activation (classic pathway), opsonization for phagocytosis and neutralisation of their toxins. There are 4 subclasses: IgG1 (66%), IgG2 (23%), IgG3 (7%) and IgG4 (4%).
