The IFNL3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12908) is a vital tool for research involving interferon lambda 3 (IFNL3), a potent antiviral cytokine that plays a crucial role in the immune response to infections. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting.IFNL3, also known as interleukin 28B (IL-28B), is a key player in the immune system's defense against viruses, particularly in the liver. Its role in regulating viral infections, such as hepatitis C, makes it a target of interest in infectious disease research.
By targeting IFNL3, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of antiviral immunity and potentially develop new treatment strategies for viral diseases.Overall, the IFNL3 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for studying the functions and interactions of IFNL3, providing researchers with the means to investigate its role in viral infections and explore its therapeutic potential in combating infectious diseases.

This gene encodes a cytokine distantly related to type I interferons and the IL-10 family. This gene, interleukin 28A (IL28A), and interleukin 29 (IL29) are three closely related cytokine genes that form a cytokine gene cluster on a chromosomal region mapped to 19q13. Expression of the cytokines encoded by the three genes can be induced by viral infection. All three cytokines have been shown to interact with a heterodimeric class II cytokine receptor that consists of interleukin 10 receptor, beta (IL10RB) and interleukin 28 receptor, alpha (IL28RA).
