The CD47 Monoclonal Antibody (MIAP410) is a specialized research tool for studying CD47, a cell surface protein known for its role in immune evasion and cancer progression. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with PerCP for flow cytometry applications, specifically targets CD47 in human, mouse, and rat samples. Validated for use in multiple experimental techniques, including flow cytometry and immunofluorescence, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of CD47 expression in diverse cell types.CD47, a widely studied "do not eat me" signal, is a key player in immune checkpoint pathways that promote tumor survival and immune escape.
Its interactions with macrophages and other immune cells have significant implications in cancer biology and immunotherapy. Researchers investigating CD47-mediated immune evasion, inflammation modulation, and therapeutic targeting will find this antibody indispensable for their studies in oncology, immunology, and related fields. Unlocking the mechanisms of CD47 function can provide crucial insights for developing novel cancer treatments and improving immunotherapeutic strategies.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
CD47, also known as Integrin-Associated Protein (IAP), is a membrane protein of about 50 kD with an IgV-like extracelluluar domain, a five membrane-spanning segment and a short terminal cytoplasmic region. It is widely expressed on many cell types and often associated with beta 3 integrins. It has been reported that CD47 functions as a self marker. Red cells lacking CD47 were rapidly cleared from the bloodstream by splenic macrophages. By binding to SIRPα, CD47 controls hemostatic innate immune functions, such as phagocytosis and cell trafficking.
