The Human CD38 Monoclonal Antibody (FITC-conjugated) is a cutting-edge product developed by Assay Genie for research applications involving CD38, a transmembrane glycoprotein with key roles in immunity and cell signaling. This antibody, designated as HIT2 (AGEL0247), is specifically designed to target human CD38 molecules and is conjugated with FITC for enhanced detection capabilities in flow cytometry and related assays.CD38, a multifunctional protein expressed on various cell types, is involved in processes such as calcium signaling, cell adhesion, and immune response modulation. Its dysregulation has been implicated in numerous diseases, including autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases, and cancer. Therefore, the precise targeting and detection of CD38 are crucial for investigating its roles in normal physiology and pathological conditions.
The FITC-conjugated Human CD38 Monoclonal Antibody from Assay Genie provides researchers with a highly specific tool for studying CD38 expression and function in a variety of experimental systems. Its superior reactivity with human samples and reliable validation make it a dependable choice for applications such as flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry. By utilizing this antibody, scientists can gain valuable insights into the intricate mechanisms involving CD38 and its implications for drug development, immunotherapy, and disease diagnosis.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD38 is a 45 kD type II transmembrane glycoprotein also known as T10. It is an ADP-ribosyl hydrolase expressed at variable levels on hematopoietic cells and in some non-hematopoietic tissues (such as brain, muscles, and kidney). In humans, it is expressed at high levels on plasma cells and activated T and B cells. By functioning as both a cyclase and a hydrolase, CD38 mediates lymphocyte activation, adhesion, and the metabolism of cADPR and NAADP. CD31 is the ligand of CD38.
