The Human CD29 Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated) TS2/16 (AGEL0214) from AssayGenie is a cutting-edge tool for researchers studying CD29, a cell surface receptor known to be involved in cell adhesion and migration. This monoclonal antibody, engineered for specific detection of CD29 in human samples, is conjugated with FITC for easy visualization in fluorescence-based assays.CD29, also called Integrin β1, plays a pivotal role in mediating cell-extracellular matrix interactions and signaling cascades that regulate various cellular functions, such as proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Understanding the expression and activation of CD29 is essential in elucidating its contributions to processes like wound healing, tissue regeneration, and tumor progression.
With its high specificity and sensitivity, this antibody is well-suited for a range of experimental techniques, including flow cytometry, immunofluorescence microscopy, and immunohistochemistry. Its application extends to studies in cell biology, developmental biology, cancer biology, and regenerative medicine, making it a versatile tool for exploring the multifaceted roles of CD29 in physiological and pathological conditions. Unlock the potential of CD29 research with the Human CD29 Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated) TS2/16 (AGEL0214) and advance your understanding of cellular mechanisms and disease processes.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD29 is a 130 kD single chain type I glycoprotein also known as integrin β1, VLA-β chain, or gpIIa. It is broadly expressed on a majority of hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells, including leukocytes (although at low level on granulocytes), platelets, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, epithelial cells, and mast cells. CD29 is a member of the integrin family. It is non-covalently associated with integrin α1-α6 chains to form VLA-1 to VLA-6 molecules, respectively. Integrins, which include CD29, bind to several cell surface (e.g. VCAM-1, MadCAM-1) and extracellular matrix molecules. CD29 acts as a fibronectin receptor and is involved in a variety of cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions.
