The BRCC3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7995) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the BRCC3 protein, a key player in DNA damage repair and regulation of cell cycle progression. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has high specificity and sensitivity for human samples, making it ideal for studies in genetics and cancer research. BRCC3, also known as BRISC and SHMT Complex Subunit 3, is involved in maintaining genomic stability and preventing the accumulation of genetic mutations that can lead to cancer development. By targeting BRCC3 with this antibody, researchers can track its expression levels in different cell types and monitor changes in response to treatments or genetic modifications.
The importance of BRCC3 in DNA repair pathways and cell cycle control makes it a promising target for therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing the efficacy of chemotherapy and radiation therapy in cancer patients. By utilizing the BRCC3 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the functions of BRCC3 and its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in cancer treatment strategies.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-316 of human BRCC3 (NP_077308.1).
This gene encodes a subunit of the BRCA1-BRCA2-containing complex (BRCC), which is an E3 ubiquitin ligase. This complex plays a role in the DNA damage response, where it is responsible for the stable accumulation of BRCA1 at DNA break sites. The component encoded by this gene can specifically cleave Lys 63-linked polyubiquitin chains, and it regulates the abundance of these polyubiquitin chains in chromatin. The loss of this gene results in abnormal angiogenesis and is associated with syndromic moyamoya, a cerebrovascular angiopathy. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 5.
