The ASB8 Polyclonal Antibody (PACO15782) is a powerful tool for researchers studying ASB8, a protein involved in the ubiquitin-proteasome system and intracellular protein degradation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity for ASB8 in human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to ASB8, it enables precise detection and analysis of the protein in various cell types, making it invaluable for investigations in cell biology and molecular biology.ASB8 is a key player in regulating protein turnover and maintaining cellular homeostasis.
Dysregulation of ASB8 expression has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic syndromes. Through studying ASB8 and its functions, researchers can gain insights into disease mechanisms and potentially identify therapeutic targets for intervention.Overall, the PACO15782 antibody provides a reliable and efficient tool for researchers interested in unraveling the roles of ASB8 in health and disease. Its versatility and specificity make it an essential component in any laboratory studying intracellular protein degradation pathways.

Background:
ASB-8 (ankyrin repeat and SOCS box-containing 8) is a 288 amino acid, member of the ASB family that contains one SOCS box domain and four ANK repeats. Localized to the cytoplasm, ASB-8 functions as a substrate-recognition component of an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex and, working in conjunction with other proteins, plays a role in the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. The highest level of ASB-8 expression has been detected in skeletal muscle. ASB-8 is also expressed in heart, brain, placenta, liver, kidney and pancreas.
