The AATF Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5896) is a valuable tool for researchers studying AATF, a protein involved in multiple cellular processes including cell cycle regulation and apoptosis. Raised in rabbits, this antibody exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the AATF protein, the antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for investigations in areas such as cancer biology and genomics research.
AATF, also known as apoptosis-antagonizing transcription factor, plays a crucial role in cellular homeostasis by modulating gene expression and cell survival pathways. Its dysregulation has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a promising target for drug development and therapeutic interventions. Understanding the function of AATF is essential for unraveling its complexities and potential clinical implications in disease pathogenesis.
Product Name:
AATF Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 7-100 of human AATF (NP_036270.1).
The protein encoded by this gene was identified on the basis of its interaction with MAP3K12/DLK, a protein kinase known to be involved in the induction of cell apoptosis. This gene product contains a leucine zipper, which is a characteristic motif of transcription factors, and was shown to exhibit strong transactivation activity when fused to Gal4 DNA binding domain. Overexpression of this gene interfered with MAP3K12 induced apoptosis.
