The Cytokeratin 19 (KRT19) Monoclonal Antibody is a vital tool for researchers studying the role of cytokeratin 19 in various biological processes. This antibody specifically targets KRT19, a type I cytokeratin protein found in epithelial cells. It is highly reactive with human samples and has been validated for use in various applications, including immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry.Cytokeratin 19 is commonly used as a marker for epithelial cells in both normal and diseased tissues, making this antibody essential for studies in cancer research, stem cell biology, and developmental biology.
By specifically detecting KRT19, researchers can gain valuable insights into the function and behavior of epithelial cells in different physiological and pathological conditions. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the Cytokeratin 19 Monoclonal Antibody is a reliable tool for researchers seeking to unravel the complexities of epithelial cell biology and its implications in human health and disease.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 301-400 of human Cytokeratin 19 (KRT19) (P08727).
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the keratin family. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. The type I cytokeratins consist of acidic proteins which are arranged in pairs of heterotypic keratin chains. Unlike its related family members, this smallest known acidic cytokeratin is not paired with a basic cytokeratin in epithelial cells. It is specifically expressed in the periderm, the transiently superficial layer that envelopes the developing epidermis. The type I cytokeratins are clustered in a region of chromosome 17q12-q21.
