The SFRS9 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13265) is a valuable tool for researchers studying SFRS9, a splicing factor protein involved in regulating gene expression and mRNA processing. This antibody is raised in rabbits and has been validated for use in Western blot applications, providing reliable and specific detection of SFRS9 in human samples.SFRS9, also known as serine and arginine rich splicing factor 9, plays a crucial role in alternative splicing, which is essential for generating protein diversity and regulating gene function. Dysregulation of alternative splicing has been linked to a variety of diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders.
By targeting SFRS9, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these conditions and identify potential therapeutic targets. This antibody offers a versatile tool for investigating the function of SFRS9 in different cell types and tissues, making it suitable for a wide range of research applications in molecular biology and biomedical research. By using the SFRS9 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can further our understanding of gene regulation and potentially contribute to the development of novel treatments for human diseases.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the serine/arginine (SR)-rich family of pre-mRNA splicing factors, which constitute part of the spliceosome. Each of these factors contains an RNA recognition motif (RRM) for binding RNA and an RS domain for binding other proteins. The RS domain is rich in serine and arginine residues and facilitates interaction between different SR splicing factors. In addition to being critical for mRNA splicing, the SR proteins have also been shown to be involved in mRNA export from the nucleus and in translation. Two pseudogenes, one on chromosome 15 and the other on chromosome 21, have been found for this gene.
