The PLS3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB10004) is a valuable tool for researchers studying PLS3, a protein involved in cell motility and migration. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the PLS3 protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of PLS3 in various cell types, making it ideal for research in cell biology and cancer metastasis.PLS3, also known as plastin 3, is a critical regulator of actin dynamics and plays a key role in cell movement and invasion.
Its involvement in promoting cell motility is of particular interest in cancer research, where metastasis is a major factor in disease progression. Understanding the function of PLS3 can provide valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying cancer metastasis and may lead to the development of targeted therapies aimed at inhibiting this process.

Plastins are a family of actin-binding proteins that are conserved throughout eukaryote evolution and expressed in most tissues of higher eukaryotes. In humans, two ubiquitous plastin isoforms (L and T) have been identified. Plastin 1 (otherwise known as Fimbrin) is a third distinct plastin isoform which is specifically expressed at high levels in the small intestine. The L isoform is expressed only in hemopoietic cell lineages, while the T isoform has been found in all other normal cells of solid tissues that have replicative potential (fibroblasts, endothelial cells, epithelial cells, melanocytes, etc.). The C-terminal 570 amino acids of the T-plastin and L-plastin proteins are 83% identical. It contains a potential calcium-binding site near the N terminus. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
