The Neprilysin Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5664) is a valuable tool for researchers studying neprilysin, a key enzyme involved in the degradation of peptides such as amyloid beta, bradykinin, and endothelin. Neprilysin is essential for regulating blood pressure, inflammation, and tissue remodeling, making it an important target for drug development in cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases. This polyclonal antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific for detecting neprilysin in human samples and is validated for use in Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. It binds to the neprilysin protein, allowing for precise detection and localization in various experimental conditions.
Its versatility makes it ideal for studies in cardiovascular biology, neuroscience, and drug discovery.Understanding the role of neprilysin in peptide degradation and signaling pathways is critical for developing novel therapeutics and diagnostic tools for diseases such as Alzheimer's, heart failure, and hypertension. The Neprilysin Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5664) is a reliable tool for researchers seeking to explore the functions and mechanisms of this important enzyme in health and disease.

The protein encoded by this gene is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein and a common acute lymphocytic leukemia antigen that is an important cell surface marker in the diagnosis of human acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). The encoded protein is present on leukemic cells of pre-B phenotype, which represent 85% of cases of ALL. This protein is not restricted to leukemic cells, however, and is found on a variety of normal tissues. The protein is a neutral endopeptidase that cleaves peptides at the amino side of hydrophobic residues and inactivates several peptide hormones including glucagon, enkephalins, substance P, neurotensin, oxytocin, and bradykinin.
