The Mouse αMSH (Alpha-Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone) ELISA Kit is specifically designed for the quantitative detection of αMSH levels in various biological samples collected from mouse models. αMSH is a neurohormone with diverse functions, including regulation of energy balance, inflammation, and pigmentation, making it a crucial molecule to study in the context of metabolic disorders, immune responses, and skin biology in mice. With exceptional sensitivity and specificity, Assay Genie's Mouse αMSH ELISA Kit ensures accurate and reproducible results.
Manufactured under stringent quality control measures, this kit delivers robust performance and user-friendly protocols, making it an ideal choice for researchers investigating the roles of αMSH in various physiological processes and pathologies. Trust Assay Genie's Mouse αMSH ELISA Kit for precise quantification of αMSH levels in your research studies.
This ELISA kit uses the Competitive-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with αMSH. During the reaction, αMSH in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of αMSH on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to αMSH. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed away, and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added to each micro plate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns from blue to yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of αMSH in tested samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
