The ABCA6 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable tool for researchers studying ABCA6, a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter family involved in lipid transport and metabolism. This antibody, raised in rabbits, has been rigorously validated for use in Western blot applications and is highly specific to ABCA6 in human samples.ABCA6 is known for its role in cellular lipid homeostasis and has been implicated in various diseases, including atherosclerosis and neurodegenerative disorders. By targeting ABCA6 with this antibody, researchers can detect and analyze the protein's expression in different cell types, providing valuable insights into its function and potential therapeutic applications.
With its high reactivity and specificity, the ABCA6 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for studying lipid transport mechanisms and their implications in health and disease. Whether investigating cardiovascular disease, neurodegeneration, or lipid metabolism disorders, this antibody offers a precise and reliable way to explore the role of ABCA6 in various physiological processes.

The membrane-associated protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intracellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, and White). This encoded protein is a member of the ABC1 subfamily. Members of the ABC1 subfamily comprise the only major ABC subfamily found exclusively in multicellular eukaryotes. This gene is clustered among 4 other ABC1 family members on 17q24 and may play a role in macrophage lipid homeostasis.
