The Human PGC (Pepsinogen C) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the quantitative assessment of pepsinogen C levels in human samples. Pepsinogen C, also known as gastricsin or progastricsin, is an enzyme precursor secreted by the gastric chief cells in the stomach mucosa. It serves as a valuable biomarker for evaluating gastric mucosal health and assessing the functionality of the stomach's chief cells.
This ELISA kit enables precise measurement of pepsinogen C concentrations, offering insights into gastric function, mucosal integrity, and chief cell activity. Pepsinogen C levels can provide valuable information about gastric health and physiology, allowing researchers and clinicians to monitor conditions such as gastritis, peptic ulcers, and gastric cancer with greater accuracy and reliability. The Human PGC ELISA Kit ensures exceptional sensitivity and specificity, facilitating reliable and reproducible results. Manufactured under rigorous quality control standards, this kit delivers robust performance and user-friendly operation, making it a preferred tool for research, clinical diagnostics, and studies focusing on gastric health and associated conditions.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human PGC. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human PGC and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human PGC, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human PGC. You can calculate the concentration of Human PGC in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
