The Histone H2A.Z Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB4599) is a valuable tool for researchers studying histone modifications and gene regulation. This antibody, raised in rabbits, specifically targets the histone variant H2A.Z, a key player in chromatin remodeling and transcriptional regulation.Histone H2A.Z is known to be involved in various cellular processes, such as DNA repair, gene expression, and cellular differentiation. It is often found at specific genomic locations, where it regulates the accessibility of DNA to transcription factors and other proteins involved in gene regulation. The CAB4599 antibody is highly reactive with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications, making it suitable for detection and analysis of H2A.
Z in different cell types and experimental conditions. Researchers in the fields of epigenetics, cancer biology, and developmental biology will find this antibody particularly useful for their studies.By targeting Histone H2A.Z, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying gene expression and cellular function, leading to a better understanding of how chromatin structure and epigenetic regulation contribute to various physiological and pathological processes.

Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures. This gene encodes a replication-independent member of the histone H2A family that is distinct from other members of the family. Studies in mice have shown that this particular histone is required for embryonic development and indicate that lack of functional histone H2A leads to embryonic lethality.
