The FUS Polyclonal Antibody (CAB10006) is a valuable tool for researchers studying FUS, a multifunctional RNA-binding protein associated with various cellular processes, including RNA processing and DNA damage response. The antibody, produced in rabbits, shows strong reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the FUS protein, this antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze FUS expression in a variety of cell types, making it well-suited for studies in neurobiology, oncology, and developmental biology.FUS, also known as fused in sarcoma, has been implicated in neurological disorders, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD), highlighting its importance in neuronal function and disease pathology.
Research on FUS has the potential to uncover novel therapeutic targets and pathways for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Therefore, the FUS Polyclonal Antibody serves as a valuable tool for investigating the role of FUS in health and disease, ultimately advancing our understanding of its functional significance in cellular physiology.

This gene encodes a multifunctional protein component of the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) complex. The hnRNP complex is involved in pre-mRNA splicing and the export of fully processed mRNA to the cytoplasm. This protein belongs to the FET family of RNA-binding proteins which have been implicated in cellular processes that include regulation of gene expression, maintenance of genomic integrity and mRNA/microRNA processing. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Defects in this gene result in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis type 6.
