Description
Anti-CD70 Antibody (CAB16698)
The CD70 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16698) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CD70, a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily that plays a crucial role in immune response regulation. Raised in rabbits, this antibody is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the CD70 protein, this antibody allows for accurate detection and analysis in various cell types, making it a versatile tool for studies in immunology and cancer research.
CD70 is a key player in the immune system, known for its involvement in T cell activation, proliferation, and differentiation. Its role in regulating immune responses makes it a promising target for research in autoimmune diseases, cancer, and other inflammatory conditions. Understanding the function of CD70 is essential for developing targeted therapies that manipulate the immune system to treat these diseases effectively.

Background: | The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This cytokine is a ligand for TNFRSF27/CD27. It is a surface antigen on activated, but not on resting, T and B lymphocytes. It induces proliferation of costimulated T cells, enhances the generation of cytolytic T cells, and contributes to T cell activation. This cytokine is also reported to play a role in regulating B-cell activation, cytotoxic function of natural killer cells, and immunoglobulin sythesis. |
UniProt Protein Function: | CD70: Cytokine that binds to CD27. Plays a role in T-cell activation. Induces the proliferation of costimulated T-cells and enhances the generation of cytolytic T-cells. Belongs to the tumor necrosis factor family. |
