The ASGR1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16766) is a valuable tool for researchers studying ASGR1, a cell surface receptor involved in the clearance of circulating glycoproteins. This rabbit polyclonal antibody is highly specific to ASGR1 in human samples and is validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting.ASGR1 plays a crucial role in the liver's ability to remove glycoproteins from the bloodstream, making it an important target for research in liver biology and metabolic disorders. By detecting and analyzing ASGR1 expression in different cell types, this antibody enables researchers to further explore the functions and mechanisms of ASGR1 in health and disease.
With its high reactivity and specificity, the ASGR1 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable tool for investigating the role of ASGR1 in liver function, glycoprotein clearance, and related physiological processes. Researchers in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, and liver research can benefit from using this antibody in their studies.

This gene encodes a subunit of the asialoglycoprotein receptor. This receptor is a transmembrane protein that plays a critical role in serum glycoprotein homeostasis by mediating the endocytosis and lysosomal degradation of glycoproteins with exposed terminal galactose or N-acetylgalactosamine residues. The asialoglycoprotein receptor may facilitate hepatic infection by multiple viruses including hepatitis B, and is also a target for liver-specific drug delivery. The asialoglycoprotein receptor is a hetero-oligomeric protein composed of major and minor subunits, which are encoded by different genes. The protein encoded by this gene is the more abundant major subunit. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.
