Description
ANGPTL3 [PAT23D8AT] (CPAB0087)
Similarly, the ANGPTL3 polyclonal antibody (CPAB0087) is specialized for research involving ANGPTL3, a protein involved in lipid metabolism and cardiovascular health. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in various applications including Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA.ANGPTL3, or angiopoietin-like protein 3, is a key player in lipid metabolism regulation and has been identified as a potential target for therapeutic interventions in cardiovascular diseases and dyslipidemias.
By targeting ANGPTL3, researchers can gain insights into lipid regulation pathways, potentially leading to the development of new treatments for conditions like hyperlipidemia and atherosclerosis. With its high specificity and reliability in detecting ANGPTL3, the CPAB0087 antibody is an essential tool for researchers investigating the role of this protein in health and disease. Its versatility in various experimental settings makes it a valuable asset for studies in cardiovascular biology and lipid metabolism.

Background: | ANGPTL3 and ANGPTL4 are angiopoietin-like proteins secreted and expressed mainly by the liver, their role being the regulation of triglyceride metabolism by inhibiting the lipolysis of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins. During different nutritional states (feeding/fasting) the levels of the circulating triglycerides are regulated by Angptl3 and Angptl4 through differential inhibition of Lipoprotein lipase (LPL) as shown by the experimental data. The molecular structure of ANGPTL3 is similar to that of the angiopoietins (vascular endothelial growth factors). Deletion mutants of human Angiopoietin 5 were used in order to demonstrate that the N-terminal domain (fragment 17-207) and not the C-terminal fibrinogen-like domain (fragment 207-460) increased the plasma triglyceride levels in mice. |
