Description
ZIC4 Antibody (PACO56082)
The ZIC4 Antibody (PAC056082) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the ZIC4 protein, which plays a crucial role in development and differentiation. This polyclonal antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits strong reactivity with human samples and is suitable for use in various experimental applications, including Western blotting.ZIC4 is a transcription factor that contributes to the regulation of gene expression during neuronal development, making it particularly important in understanding neurodevelopmental disorders and diseases. By binding specifically to the ZIC4 protein, this antibody enables researchers to study its expression and function in different cell types and tissues, providing insights into its role in biological processes.
Furthermore, exploring the functions of ZIC4 with this antibody could lead to advancements in fields such as neuroscience, developmental biology, and regenerative medicine. The ability to target ZIC4 for research purposes opens up opportunities for discovering novel therapeutic strategies for conditions involving abnormal neurodevelopment or neurological dysfunction.

IHC image of PACO56082 diluted at 1:200 and staining in paraffin-embedded human brain tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system. | |
Immunofluorescence staining of MCF-7 cells with PACO56082 at 1:66, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). |

NCBI Summary: | This gene encodes a member of the ZIC family of C2H2-type zinc finger proteins. Members of this family are important during development, and have been associated with X-linked visceral heterotaxy and holoprosencephaly type 5. This gene is closely linked to the gene encoding zinc finger protein of the cerebellum 1, a related family member on chromosome 3. Heterozygous deletion of these linked genes is involved in Dandy-Walker malformation, which is a congenital cerebellar malformation. Multiple transcript variants have been identified for this gene.
