The XRCC6 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7330) is a valuable tool for researchers studying XRCC6, also known as Ku70, a key protein involved in DNA repair and maintenance of genomic stability. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is suitable for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the XRCC6 protein, this antibody allows for accurate detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in genetics, cancer research, and radiation biology.XRCC6, a subunit of the Ku protein complex, plays a crucial role in non-homologous end joining, a DNA repair pathway essential for the repair of double-strand breaks.
Dysregulation of XRCC6 has been linked to genomic instability and increased susceptibility to cancer. Therefore, investigating the function and regulation of XRCC6 is vital for understanding DNA repair mechanisms and developing targeted therapies for cancer treatment. This antibody provides researchers with a reliable tool to explore the role of XRCC6 in DNA repair processes and its implications in disease development.

The p70/p80 autoantigen is a nuclear complex consisting of two subunits with molecular masses of approximately 70 and 80 kDa. The complex functions as a single-stranded DNA-dependent ATP-dependent helicase. The complex may be involved in the repair of nonhomologous DNA ends such as that required for double-strand break repair, transposition, and V(D)J recombination. High levels of autoantibodies to p70 and p80 have been found in some patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.
