The WNK1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB14196) is a vital tool for researchers studying the WNK1 protein, a key regulator of ion transport and blood pressure. This antibody, produced in rabbits, shows high specificity for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the WNK1 protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis in a wide range of cell types, making it an essential reagent for studies in molecular biology and hypertension research.
WNK1, also known as the WNK lysine deficient protein kinase 1, plays a crucial role in the regulation of ion transport processes, particularly in the kidney and brain. Dysregulation of WNK1 signaling has been linked to various disorders, including hypertension and neurological diseases. Understanding the function of WNK1 is essential for developing targeted therapies aimed at correcting ion transport defects and managing conditions associated with its malfunction.

20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-210 of human WNK1 (NP_055638.2).
This gene encodes a member of the WNK subfamily of serine/threonine protein kinases. The encoded protein may be a key regulator of blood pressure by controlling the transport of sodium and chloride ions. Mutations in this gene have been associated with pseudohypoaldosteronism type II and hereditary sensory neuropathy type II. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described but the full-length nature of all of them has yet to be determined.
