The WHSC1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7938) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the WHSC1 protein, also known as Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome candidate 1. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive to human samples, making it an ideal choice for various research applications.WHSC1 is a histone methyltransferase involved in epigenetic regulation and plays a crucial role in chromatin remodeling and gene expression. Dysregulation of WHSC1 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders. By targeting WHSC1 with this polyclonal antibody, researchers can investigate its role in disease development and progression.
Validated for use in Western blot applications, the WHSC1 Polyclonal Antibody enables the detection and analysis of WHSC1 protein levels in different cell types and tissues. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it a valuable tool for studies in cancer biology, epigenetics, and developmental biology.Overall, the WHSC1 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable reagent for researchers looking to elucidate the function and regulation of the WHSC1 protein in various biological processes and disease pathways. Its use can contribute to advancing our understanding of epigenetic mechanisms and identifying potential therapeutic targets for disease intervention.

This gene encodes a protein that contains four domains present in other developmental proteins: a PWWP domain, an HMG box, a SET domain, and a PHD-type zinc finger. It is expressed ubiquitously in early development. Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome (WHS) is a malformation syndrome associated with a hemizygous deletion of the distal short arm of chromosome 4. This gene maps to the 165 kb WHS critical region and has also been involved in the chromosomal translocation t(4;14)(p16.3;q32.3) in multiple myelomas. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Some transcript variants are nonsense-mediated mRNA (NMD) decay candidates, hence not represented as reference sequences.
