The WASL Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2576) is specially designed for research involving WASL, a key protein involved in actin cytoskeleton dynamics and cell motility. This antibody, developed in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the WASL protein, this antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze WASL expression in various cell types, making it an excellent tool for studies in cell biology and cancer research.
WASL, also known as Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome protein, plays a crucial role in regulating actin polymerization and cell migration processes. Dysregulation of WASL has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions. Studying the functions of WASL is essential for gaining insights into its contribution to disease pathogenesis and developing novel treatment strategies targeting actin cytoskeleton dynamics.

This gene encodes a member of the Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome (WAS) protein family. Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome proteins share similar domain structure, and associate with a variety of signaling molecules to alter the actin cytoskeleton. The encoded protein is highly expressed in neural tissues, and interacts with several proteins involved in cytoskeletal organization, including cell division control protein 42 (CDC42) and the actin-related protein-2/3 (ARP2/3) complex. The encoded protein may be involved in the formation of long actin microspikes, and in neurite extension.
