The WASF1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB14624) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the WASF1 protein, which plays a key role in actin cytoskeleton regulation. This antibody is produced in rabbits and has been validated for use in Western blot applications, allowing for reliable detection and analysis of the WASF1 protein in human samples. The WASF1 protein, also known as WAVE-1, is involved in cell migration, cell shape changes, and cell adhesion processes. Dysregulation of WASF1 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, neurological disorders, and immune system dysfunction.
Understanding the functions and regulation of WASF1 is crucial for uncovering its role in disease pathogenesis and developing targeted therapies.By using the WASF1 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can further investigate the involvement of WASF1 in cellular processes and disease states, ultimately advancing our understanding of its potential as a therapeutic target. This antibody is a valuable tool for researchers in the fields of cell biology, cancer research, and neurology.

Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 400 to the C-terminus of human WASF1 (NP_001020107.1).
The protein encoded by this gene, a member of the Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome protein (WASP)-family, plays a critical role downstream of Rac, a Rho-family small GTPase, in regulating the actin cytoskeleton required for membrane ruffling. It has been shown to associate with an actin nucleation core Arp2/3 complex while enhancing actin polymerization in vitro. Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome is a disease of the immune system, likely due to defects in regulation of actin cytoskeleton. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
