The VPS37A Polyclonal Antibody (CAB14159) is a valuable tool for researchers studying VPS37A, a key component of the endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT-I). This antibody, produced in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to VPS37A, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its presence in various cell types, making it ideal for investigations in cellular biology and endosomal trafficking.VPS37A is essential for the proper function of the ESCRT machinery, which facilitates the sorting of ubiquitinated cargoes into multivesicular bodies for degradation or recycling.
Dysregulation of VPS37A has been implicated in various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer. By studying VPS37A with this antibody, researchers can gain insight into its role in cellular processes and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for these conditions.Understanding the function of VPS37A is crucial for unraveling the complexities of intracellular trafficking and its implications for disease pathology. The VPS37A Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for advancing research in this area and uncovering new avenues for therapeutic intervention.

This gene belongs to the VPS37 family, and encodes a component of the ESCRT-I (endosomal sorting complex required for transport I) protein complex, required for the sorting of ubiquitinated transmembrane proteins into internal vesicles of multivesicular bodies. Expression of this gene is downregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma, and mutations in this gene are associated with autosomal recessive spastic paraplegia-53. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 5. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
