The VMA ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of Vanillylmandelic Acid (VMA) levels in various biological samples.
VMA is a metabolite of epinephrine and norepinephrine, and its levels can be used as a biomarker for diseases like neuroblastoma and pheochromocytoma. Accurate measurement of VMA is critical for uncovering its role in disease mechanisms, as well as aiding in diagnostic processes and the development of targeted therapeutic strategies. Assay Genie’s VMA ELISA Kit offers outstanding sensitivity and specificity, ensuring trustworthy and replicable results. Fabricated under stringent quality control standards, this kit offers robust performance, simplicity of use, and is an excellent choice for both research and clinical applications. Trust Assay Genie’s VMA ELISA Kit for accurate and reliable quantification of this important biomarker in your studies.

This ELISA kit uses the Competitive-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with VMA. During the reaction, VMA in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of VMA on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to VMA. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed away, and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added to each micro plate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns from blue to yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of VMA in tested samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
