The VIPR1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB10515) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the vasoactive intestinal peptide receptor 1 (VIPR1), a G protein-coupled receptor involved in various physiological processes including vasodilation, smooth muscle relaxation, and immune response modulation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards VIPR1 in human samples, making it suitable for Western blot applications. By targeting the VIPR1 protein, researchers can uncover its role in signal transduction pathways and cellular responses to VIP, leading to insights into its potential as a therapeutic target in conditions like cardiovascular disease and inflammation.
VIPR1 is known to play a crucial role in neuroendocrine function, gastrointestinal motility, and immune regulation, making it a promising target for drug development and precision medicine approaches. The VIPR1 Polyclonal Antibody offers researchers a reliable tool for investigating the functions and signaling mechanisms of VIPR1, paving the way for innovative treatments and therapies in a wide range of disorders.

This gene encodes a receptor for vasoactive intestinal peptide, a small neuropeptide. Vasoactive intestinal peptide is involved in smooth muscle relaxation, exocrine and endocrine secretion, and water and ion flux in lung and intestinal epithelia. Its actions are effected through integral membrane receptors associated with a guanine nucleotide binding protein which activates adenylate cyclase. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
