Description
VEGF Monoclonal Antibody [NYRhVEGF] (CPAB0032)
The VEGF Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0032) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), a key protein involved in angiogenesis and tumor growth. Raised in rabbits, this antibody is highly specific to VEGF and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to VEGF, this antibody allows for the precise detection and analysis of VEGF expression in various cell types.VEGF is a critical factor in the formation of new blood vessels, making it a crucial target for research in various fields, including cancer biology, cardiovascular disease, and neurodegeneration.
Understanding the role of VEGF in promoting angiogenesis is essential for developing targeted therapies that can disrupt tumor growth or promote tissue regeneration.Researchers can trust the VEGF Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0032) to provide reliable and accurate results in their experiments, helping to advance our understanding of VEGF's functions and its potential as a therapeutic target in a range of diseases.

Background: | Vascular endothelial growth factoris an important signaling proteininvolved in both vasculogenesisand angiogenesis. As its name implies, VEGF activity has been mostly studied on cells of the vascular endothelium, although it does have effects on a number of other cell types (e.g. stimulation monocyte/macrophagemigration, neurons, cancer cells, kidney epithelial cells ).VEGF mediates increased vascular permeability, induces angiogenesis, vasculogenesis and endothelial cell growth, promotes cell migration, and inhibits apoptosis. In vitro, VEGF has been shown to stimulate endothelial cell mitogenesisand cell migration. VEGF is also a vasodilator and increases microvascular permeability and was originally referred to as vascular permeability factor. Elevated levels of this protein is linked to POEMS syndrome, also known as Crow-Fukase syndrome. Mutations in this gene have been associated with proliferative and nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy. |
