The UQCRB Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1273) is an essential tool for researchers studying the UQCRB protein, a key component of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the UQCRB protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for investigations in the fields of biochemistry and mitochondrial biology.UQCRB, also known as Ubiquinol-Cytochrome c Reductase Binding Protein, plays a crucial role in electron transport within the mitochondria, contributing to ATP production and cellular energy metabolism.
Dysregulation of this protein is associated with mitochondrial dysfunction and various metabolic disorders. The UQCRB Polyclonal Antibody provides researchers with a powerful tool to explore the functions and mechanisms of UQCRB in health and disease, offering insights that may lead to new therapeutic strategies for mitochondrial-related conditions.

This gene encodes a subunit of the ubiquinol-cytochrome c oxidoreductase complex, which consists of one mitochondrial-encoded and 10 nuclear-encoded subunits. The protein encoded by this gene binds ubiquinone and participates in the transfer of electrons when ubiquinone is bound. This protein plays an important role in hypoxia-induced angiogenesis through mitochondrial reactive oxygen species-mediated signaling. Mutations in this gene are associated with mitochondrial complex III deficiency. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. Related pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes 1, 5 and X.
