The ULK2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15243) is a valuable tool for researchers studying ULK2, a key regulator of autophagy and cell survival processes. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for ULK2 in human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the ULK2 protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis of ULK2 expression levels in a variety of cell types.ULK2 is a crucial component of the autophagy pathway, a cellular process essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to stressors like nutrient deprivation and damaged organelles.
Dysregulation of autophagy has been implicated in numerous diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic conditions. Research into ULK2 function and regulation is therefore vital for developing targeted therapies to modulate autophagy for therapeutic benefit. With its ability to specifically detect ULK2, the CAB15243 antibody is a valuable tool for researchers interested in understanding the role of autophagy in health and disease. By studying ULK2 expression and activity, scientists can uncover new insights into autophagy regulation and potential therapeutic strategies for a range of pathological conditions.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 1-100 of human ULK2 (NP_001136082.1).
This gene encodes a protein that is similar to a serine/threonine kinase in C. elegans which is involved in axonal elongation. The structure of this protein is similar to the C. elegans protein in that both proteins have an N-terminal kinase domain, a central proline/serine rich (PS) domain, and a C-terminal (C) domain. The gene is located within the Smith-Magenis syndrome region on chromosome 17. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
