The UHRF1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12589) is a powerful tool for researchers studying UHRF1, a key protein involved in epigenetic regulation and cellular processes such as DNA methylation and gene expression. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has been validated for use in Western blot applications and is highly reactive with human samples.UHRF1, also known as Ubiquitin-like with PHD and Ring Finger domains 1, is essential for maintaining DNA methylation patterns and ensuring genome stability. Dysregulation of UHRF1 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders.
By targeting UHRF1 with this antibody, researchers can investigate its role in disease development and progression, as well as explore its potential as a therapeutic target. With its specificity and sensitivity in detecting UHRF1 protein levels, this polyclonal antibody is an invaluable tool for researchers in the fields of oncology, neuroscience, and epigenetics. By elucidating the functions of UHRF1, scientists can gain insights into disease mechanisms and potentially develop novel treatments for a range of conditions.

This gene encodes a member of a subfamily of RING-finger type E3 ubiquitin ligases. The protein binds to specific DNA sequences, and recruits a histone deacetylase to regulate gene expression. Its expression peaks at late G1 phase and continues during G2 and M phases of the cell cycle. It plays a major role in the G1/S transition by regulating topoisomerase IIalpha and retinoblastoma gene expression, and functions in the p53-dependent DNA damage checkpoint. It is regarded as a hub protein for the integration of epigenetic information. This gene is up-regulated in various cancers, and it is therefore considered to be a therapeutic target. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. A related pseudogene exists on chromosome 12.
