Description
UCN Antibody (PACO13069)
The UCN Antibody (PAC013069) is a critical tool for researchers studying the Urocortin family of peptides, specifically Urocortin (UCN). This polyclonal antibody, raised in rabbits, demonstrates high specificity and sensitivity for detecting UCN in various biological samples. It is validated for use in various applications, including immunohistochemistry, Western blot, and ELISA.UCN is a neuropeptide that plays a key role in stress response and anxiety regulation.
Dysregulation of UCN signaling has been implicated in various psychiatric disorders, making it a promising target for drug development and therapeutic interventions. The UCN Antibody offers researchers a reliable means to study UCN expression and function in different tissues and cell types, facilitating advances in the fields of neuroscience and mental health research.

NCBI Summary: | This gene encodes a member of the sauvagine/corticotropin-releasing factor/urotensin I family. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature peptide, an endogenous ligand for both corticotropin-releasing factor receptor 1 and corticotropin-releasing factor receptor 2. In the brain this peptide may be responsible for the effects of stress on appetite. This peptide may also play a role in mood disorders, neurodegeneration, and skeletal system disorders. In spite of the gene family name similarity, the product of this gene has no sequence similarity to urotensin-2. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016] |
