The UBQLN1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15439) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the UBQLN1 protein, which is involved in protein degradation pathways and the regulation of cellular homeostasis. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications.UBQLN1, also known as ubiquilin-1, plays a crucial role in protein quality control by facilitating the degradation of misfolded or damaged proteins. Dysregulation of UBQLN1 has been linked to neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
By targeting UBQLN1 with this antibody, researchers can investigate its expression levels and functions in various cell types and tissues. This UBQLN1 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for studies in cell biology, neurology, and proteostasis research. Its specificity and sensitivity make it a valuable asset for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying protein degradation and the role of UBQLN1 in disease pathology.

This gene encodes an ubiquitin-like protein (ubiquilin) that shares a high degree of similarity with related products in yeast, rat and frog. Ubiquilins contain an N-terminal ubiquitin-like domain and a C-terminal ubiquitin-associated domain. They physically associate with both proteasomes and ubiquitin ligases, and thus are thought to functionally link the ubiquitination machinery to the proteasome to affect in vivo protein degradation. This ubiquilin has also been shown to modulate accumulation of presenilin proteins, and it is found in lesions associated with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
