Description
TXN2 Monoclonal Antibody [PAT1B1AT] (CPAB0667)
The TXN2 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0667) is a valuable tool for researchers studying TXN2, a key protein involved in redox homeostasis and cellular antioxidant defense mechanisms. This antibody, produced in rabbits, specifically targets TXN2 in human samples and is suitable for use in Western blot applications. By binding to TXN2, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression levels in a variety of cell types, making it an essential asset for studies focusing on oxidative stress, cellular metabolism, and disease mechanisms.TXN2, a member of the thioredoxin family, plays a crucial role in maintaining cellular redox balance and protecting cells from oxidative damage. Dysregulation of TXN2 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular conditions.
By investigating the function and regulation of TXN2, researchers can gain insights into disease pathology and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for combating oxidative stress-related disorders.Overall, the TXN2 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0667) offers researchers a reliable tool for studying the intricate mechanisms of cellular redox homeostasis and the potential implications for various disease states. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an invaluable resource for advancing research in the fields of biochemistry, cell biology, and pharmacology.

Background: | Thioredoxin-2 is a low molecular weight redox protein. TRX2 contains a redox active disulfide/dithiol group within the conserved Cys-Gly-Pro-Cys active site. The TXN2 is involved in the regulation of the mitochondrial membrane potential and in protection against oxidant-induced apoptosis. Upon stimulation of Fas, TXN2 mediates denitrosylation of mitochondria-associated caspase-3, a process required for caspase-3 activation, and promoted apoptosis. TRX2 is important at low oxidative stress conditions. MTRX is involved in the regulation of the mitochondrial membrane potential and cell death. Mitochondrial thioredoxin plays an important roles in protection against oxidant-induced apoptosis. Thioredoxin1 and thioredoxin2 have opposed regulatory functions on hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha. |
