The Tumor Protein p73 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2781) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the tumor suppressor protein p73, a member of the p53 family known for its role in regulating cell growth and apoptosis. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the p73 protein, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of p73 expression in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in cancer biology and molecular oncology.Tumor protein p73 is a key player in maintaining genomic stability and preventing tumorigenesis, making it a promising target for cancer research and drug development.
Dysregulation of p73 expression has been linked to various types of cancer, making it crucial to understand its function and regulation in order to develop effective therapeutic strategies. The Tumor Protein p73 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2781) offers researchers a reliable tool to investigate the role of p73 in cancer progression and to potentially uncover new treatment options for cancer patients.

This gene encodes a member of the p53 family of transcription factors involved in cellular responses to stress and development. It maps to a region on chromosome 1p36 that is frequently deleted in neuroblastoma and other tumors, and thought to contain multiple tumor suppressor genes. The demonstration that this gene is monoallelically expressed (likely from the maternal allele), supports the notion that it is a candidate gene for neuroblastoma. Many transcript variants resulting from alternative splicing and/or use of alternate promoters have been found for this gene, but the biological validity and the full-length nature of some variants have not been determined.
