Description
TUBB2B Monoclonal Antibody [PAT5B2AT] (CPAB0434)
The TUBB2B Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0434) is a valuable tool for researchers studying TUBB2B, a member of the tubulin superfamily that plays a crucial role in microtubule dynamics and cell division. This antibody, derived from rabbits, exhibits high specificity for human samples and has been validated for Western blotting applications.TUBB2B is an essential component of microtubules, which are involved in maintaining cell structure, intracellular transport, and cell division. Dysregulation of TUBB2B has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and neurodevelopmental disorders.
By targeting TUBB2B with this antibody, researchers can investigate its function in different cell types and explore its potential implications in disease pathology. This polyclonal antibody provides a reliable means of detecting and quantifying TUBB2B protein levels, making it a valuable tool for studies in cell biology, cancer research, and neurobiology. By gaining a better understanding of TUBB2B's role in cellular processes, researchers may uncover new therapeutic targets and strategies for treating diseases associated with microtubule dysfunction.

Background: | TUBB2B is a beta isoform of tubulin, which binds GTP and is a major component of microtubules. Numerous beta Tubulin isoforms have been characterized and are expressed in mammalian tissues. Tubulin binds two moles of GTP, one at an exchangeable site on the beta chain and one at a non-exchangeable site on the alpha-chain. TUBB2b is mostly expressed in developing neurons with a dominant expression during the critical steps of corticogenesis. In addition, TUBB2B is a new critical gene involved in neuronal migration. TUBB2B is present in the nuclei and nucleoplasm, Defects in the TUBB2B gene are a cause of asymmetric polymicrogyria. |
