The TSHB Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6780) is a valuable tool for researchers studying TSHB, a key hormone involved in the regulation of thyroid function. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the TSHB protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of TSHB levels in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for research in endocrinology and thyroid disorders.TSHB, also known as Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Beta Subunit, plays a crucial role in the control of thyroid hormone production and release from the thyroid gland.
Dysregulation of TSHB levels can lead to thyroid disorders, such as hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism. By studying the expression and activity of TSHB, researchers can gain insights into the underlying mechanisms of thyroid dysfunction and potentially develop new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for thyroid-related conditions.

The four human glycoprotein hormones chorionic gonadotropin (CG), luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) are dimers consisting of alpha and beta subunits that are associated noncovalently. The alpha subunits of these hormones are identical, however, their beta chains are unique and confer biological specificity. Thyroid stimulating hormone functions in the control of thyroid structure and metabolism. The protein encoded by this gene is the beta subunit of thyroid stimulating hormone. Mutations in this gene are associated with congenital central and secondary hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.
