The TSG101/VPS23 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB5789) is a cutting-edge tool for researchers studying the ESCRT pathway and endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT). This antibody, generated in rabbits, shows strong reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting and immunofluorescence.TSG101/VPS23, a key component of the ESCRT machinery, plays a crucial role in the sorting and trafficking of proteins within the cell. Dysregulation of this pathway has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and viral infections.
By targeting TSG101/VPS23 with this antibody, researchers can explore the molecular mechanisms underlying these disorders and potentially identify new therapeutic targets. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the TSG101/VPS23 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB5789) is an essential tool for studies in cell biology, virology, and cancer research. Its ability to detect TSG101/VPS23 in various cell types and tissues makes it a valuable asset for investigators seeking to unravel the complexities of intracellular protein trafficking and its implications for human health.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a group of apparently inactive homologs of ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes. The gene product contains a coiled-coil domain that interacts with stathmin, a cytosolic phosphoprotein implicated in tumorigenesis. The protein may play a role in cell growth and differentiation and act as a negative growth regulator. In vitro steady-state expression of this tumor susceptibility gene appears to be important for maintenance of genomic stability and cell cycle regulation. Mutations and alternative splicing in this gene occur in high frequency in breast cancer and suggest that defects occur during breast cancer tumorigenesis and/or progression.
